These are the two small groups of grade 6 students who took part in the Benoni Eisteddfod. Group one received an honours award and group two received a gold. Well done!

The Grade 7 Own Choice Poetry competitors did us proud on
Friday (31 July) afternoon. This section of the Benoni Eisteddfod was wonderfully entertaining.
Well done to the six Ashbury pupils who took part: Mbuleleo Hude (gold), Thando Mashele (gold), Luyanda Tshabalala (gold), Bongiwe Mbatha (honours), Rulani Mhlongo (prestige) and Gculisile Masondo (prestige).

The Grade 6 team collectively achieved a gold certificate, 4 honours certificates and 1 prestige award.

The group performed in near darkness,due to load shedding , which made the event quite challenging.  Well done to all four learners who between them received 2 gold and 2 honours certificates.

 

Ntokozo Masilela represented Ashbury at the Arbor Primary inter-school speech evening.He won the top prize of the competition and walked away with a glittering trophy.

Winners of the 2013 Willowmoore High School Cultural Festival

The cast members and Director of the Ashbury play “The Prophecy” that
received the Beaumont-Brown Award for one act plays at the 2013
Willowmoore High School Cultural Festival. Ashbury also received the
awards for ‘best lighting and technical’, ‘best actor’, ‘best ensemble’
as well as a commendation award for other performances at the festival.
